VRChat 2024.3.1p1
Live - 15 August 2024 - Build 1491
Looking for the 2024.3.1 patch notes? You can find them here.
(And as a note, if you use Virtual Desktop and are still having issues, make sure you've updated to the latest version [1.32.13 or later]!)
Fixes & Changes
- Fixed an issue that could prevent moving when the Action Menu is open.
- Changing action sets (for example, by entering one-handed mode or opening the Action Menu) no longer causes controller inputs to get stuck.
- For some ungodly reason this still happens specifically for strafe inputs. We'll get to that, too. 🙏
- Added a warning popup when you have misconfigured your bindings beyond repair, or need to reset them.
- Added a warning popup if you used Vive Advanced Controls before, with an explanation on how to re-enable the old behavior.
- One-handed mode is no longer activated if a device loses tracking but otherwise stays connected.
- Changed "Exclusive Hand Tracking" default to off.
- Fixed pinch-to-select in hand tracking mode sometimes not working.
- Fixed SteamVR overlay lowering in-game resolution and sometimes getting stuck that way.
- Fixed "System" render models appearing very shiny in some worlds.
- Fixed some issues with VRChat constraints not enabling correctly when two or more of them are used on the same game object.
- On mobile, the user camera is no longer permanently highlighted in the blue interaction box.
- Vive Wand Improvements!
- Changed the Vive Wand default binds to facilitate posing PhysBones by allowing a slight-trigger to grab and a full-trigger to activate.
- Changed the Vive Wand default binds to avoid unintended gesture activation after lightly releasing click-to-move while continuing to touch the touchpad.
- Decreased the delay of gesture activation for the Vive Wands Gesture Wheel from 180ms to 150ms (for context, the delay exists to prevent gestures from activating when trying to locomote).
- Changed the Vive Wand default (non-advanced) binds to allow the trigger-pull grip gesture to reset the gesture state to neutral.
- If you've already customized your bindings you may want to reset to the new defaults to take full advantage of the fixes!
- Also note that you can enable what was previously called "Vive Advanced Controls" by selecting the
Default Advanced Bindings for HTC Vive Controllers
binding we provide.
