VRChat 2026.3.3
October 2 - Build 1919 - Live
Features
Desktop HUD
Desktop users now have a new Heads Up Display (HUD)!
Common actions have been given their own clickable HUD buttons in the top left and right corners of the screen.
Holding TAB while in first person mode will release your mouse cursor and allow you to interact with the HUD. You can also hold TAB to select players, portals, props and prints.
The new Desktop HUD has a lot of tricks:
- You can dock your face mirror to the upper right corner, alongside a background... or no background, if you'd prefer.
- We added some contextual control hints to the right side of the HUD that should help newer users out.
- Notifications have also been given a new coat of paint.
- We've added a bunch of customization options, so you can set things up how you'd like.
- Yes, this still includes turning it off completely.
Keyboard Refresh!
We've refreshed the in-app keyboard! It's now more adjustable, is no longer necessarily locked into place, and has additional functionality.
- It can be free-positioned by pressing grab while hovering over it with the cursor.
- Drop it by the selected field to dock it with the menu.
- Alternatively, you can pull it out away from the menu to dock it in your tracking space instead.
- You can also adjust its size by clicking and dragging the tabs on the bottom corners.
But that's not all. This revamped keyboard gives us a much better starting point for new improvements. Such as: Next-word prediction, which suggests words you've typed before!
- Click a suggested word to complete your current word immediately!
- History data is stored locally per-user in persistent data, never uploaded.
- Suggestions are automatically disabled in Streamer Mode, and when a PIN/Password field is focused.
Unity 6
Unity 6 is now stable enough that we consider it ready for live!
What does this mean for you? Hopefully nothing -- we've been testing it extensively, both in closed and open beta, and think you shouldn't notice anything!
⚠️ Nothing has changed about the SDK side. Do NOT upgrade your SDK projects to Unity 6. It will not work. We'll let you know once that is ready. ⚠️
Login Flow Update
We've modernized the login flow for both Android and iOS! While you'll visually notice some new things, a lot of the big changes have been under-the-hood. The end result is that we think it'll be better for everyone -- new and old users alike.
Android Mobile Shop... Works!
Yep! You can now use the Shop... on mobile! At least, on Android. This took a lot of work! We want you to know about it!
Profile Decoration Shop
We've added a new section for Profile Decorations in the Shop!
This also means that you can buy individually bits easily -- you don't just have to grab the full bundle.
The NEWS
We've added an in-client system to deliver you... the News™️. Or, well, the patch notes. Or store updates. Or whatever.
- News notification(s) will appear in the Quick Menu and Notification Center.
- A QM news carousel automatically displays when opening the Quick Menu if you have unread news.
- It has videos. You know what that means.
- :3
- World-specific news can appear when visiting certain worlds.
...wow. That's, uh, a lot. On to the...
Changes & Fixes
- We rewrote parts of how we handle user-data in the VRChat client.
- For you, this should mean that lots of little state desync issues or location bugs should be fixed.
- We don't have a full list of individual issues this affects, since it's such a broad change, but ideally it fixes more than it breaks! 🤞
- This especially affects the logic on the "Send Invite" and "Request Invite" buttons.
- There shouldn't be any actual behavior change compared to how it was supposed to work before, just lots of fixes where it didn't work as intended.
- In lists of user locations, such as the Social tab or the Friends Wing (sorted by location), the instance you are currently in will now show at the top.
- Fixed an issue where the inventory would always default to opening the "Bundles & Packs" tab. It will now preserve your last open tab, as long as you don't have any unclaimed bundles.
- There is now a dedicated "Profile Decorations" tab in the VRChat Shop.
- Looks are now remembered per avatar. Returning to an avatar later will automatically wear it's last worn look.
- Additional UI has been added when selecting avatars to show you what look it's associated with. Buttons have been added to edit or remove that look. The look can be removed even if you aren't wearing that avatar.
- Looks can also be removed from the Looks tab when selecting the worn look.
- The Look section of the Action Menu is now configurable by the user, similar to the other inventory types.
- Added pre-purchase customization to the Accessories store page.
- You can now enter the editor and try out all of the item's settings before purchase.
- If you decide to purchase an Accessory while in this pre-purchase mode, it will automatically be attached to a Look for you.
- Very long Look names are now truncated when viewed in the Action Menu.
- eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
- (probably)
- eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
- Fixed issues with Store page Accessory customization functionality when wearing a look that would exceed the max Accessories.
- A new "Net Tools" Debug UI page has been added.
- This adds a number of utilities to aid in comprehending the source of problems which are afflicting a world.
- It will show network events, details about what halted an
UdonBehaviour, and anUdonBehaviournetwork inspector.
- We moved the avatar debug window into the newer standardized debug console.
- Fixed an issue that caused the Status and User Search buttons to appear dark in the Social menu.
- Added a "Warn User" button to the More Options modal in the Profile menu for instance moderators.
-
- When Accessories are being shown individually in the store, selecting a bundle now cycles through every Accessory in the bundle one at a time.
- Selecting an Accessory bundle in the store now cycles through every Accessory in the bundle one at a time.
- The "days remaining" indicator on limited-time free listings now says "days left to claim" instead of "days left to purchase".
- Fixed avatars appearing missing shader pink for a single frame when loading on Mobile and Standalone VR devices.
- Fixed an issue that prevented clicks from updating cursor placement on the Edit Bio text field.
- Improved timing of when local avatars are revealed during certain warp effect animations.
- Fixed an issue causing stuttery view rotation when moving the mouse diagonally.
- On Desktop, Pickups should appear even more stable than before.
- Improved responsiveness of Action Menu option selection.
- Fixed an issue that could cause very fast click or (physical) keyboard press actions to be dropped.
- Main Menu placement logic has been tuned up, and the default behavior is extended a bit to improve accessibility.
- Adjusted how the menu's placement/tilt angle is calculated, to put more surface area at a more ergonomic angle. It's a subtle difference, but hopefully more comfortable.
- With the "Responsive Menu" setting turned off (Menu appears in front of you in tracking space, default):
- When opening the menu while looking straight up (or within 30 degrees of it), the menu will open in the direction you're looking, instead of on the ground.
- It was very tricky to manually place overhead as well, so we fixed those issues up too.
- With the "Responsive Menu" setting turned on (Menu appears directly in front of camera, non-default):
- Fixed some issues that caused the menu to appear in unexpected locations, particularly while Menu Lock was on.
- Did you know that option existed by the way? Fewer than 10% of people use it, but it can be very helpful if you often lay down, even if you don't need it for accessibility reasons!
- The menu no longer closes when your Companion auto-spawns.
- Some users have been experiencing a crash on startup with the error message
SuspendThread Loop failed. That should now be fixed. - When selecting an item in the world, clicking the nameplate under "Spawned by" now properly links to the owner's profile.
- Fixed a bug where products could still appear in the store after their availability window was over.
- Security and stability fixes.
- With AFK Detection enabled:
- You can now toggle AFK status while the menu is open, as long as a text field isn't focused.

- Contact receiver improvements!
- Improved how contact receivers with no volume behave when generating proximity values.
- Improved detection of sphere-shaped contact senders with an extremely small radius.
- Improved contact detection and proximity calculation when using very thin box shaped contact receivers.
- Props attached to surfaces can no longer be placed close to spawn points, similar to user placed portals.
- Fixed a Camera Dolly bug that caused the orientation of the primary camera to not be updated while waiting for multi-stream cameras to finish animating along their paths.
- Added missing image in Color Blind Filters for Oculus PC.
- Fixed a bug that caused the delete button for locked icons to be greyed out.

- Fixed a bug in the companion app that that would sometimes occur when leaving the Edit Profile screen with unsaved changes.
