VRChat 2026.3.3 (OPEN BETA)
September 9 - Build 1912 - Open Beta
Features
Desktop HUD
Desktop users now have a new Heads Up Display (HUD)!
Common actions have been given their own clickable HUD buttons in the top left and right corners of the screen.
Holding TAB while in first person mode will release your mouse cursor and allow you to interact with the HUD. You can also hold TAB to select players, portals, props and prints.
The new Desktop HUD has a lot of tricks:
- You can dock your face mirror to the upper right corner, alongside a background... or no background, if you'd prefer.
- We added some contextual control hints to the right side of the HUD that should help newer users out.
- Notifications have also been given a new coat of paint.
- We've added a bunch of customization options, so you can set things up how you'd like.
- Yes, this still includes turning it off completely.
For now, this only applies to desktop users -- not VR or mobile users.
We think this will make the new user experience a lot better, more familiar, and less confusing. Let us know what you think.
Keyboard Refresh!
We've refreshed the in-app keyboard!
It has broken free of its shackles (well, the Main Menu within VR) and now can be freely positioned to your liking. It's also been remodeled (design wise!) a little bit, too.
It's also far more adjustable:
- It can be free-positioned by pressing grab while hovering over it with the cursor.
- Drop it by the selected field to dock it with the menu. Next time you focus a text field, it'll remember what distance it was.
- Alternatively, you can pull it out away from the menu to dock it in your tracking space instead.
- You can also adjust its size by clicking and dragging the tabs on the bottom corners.
But that's not all! We've also added next-word prediction, which suggests words you've typed before.
- Click a suggested word to complete your current word immediately!
- History data is stored locally per-user in persistent data, never uploaded.
- Suggestions are automatically disabled in Streamer Mode, and when a PIN/Password field is focused.
Changes & Fixes
- We rewrote parts of how we handle user-data in the VRChat client.
- For you, this should mean that lots of little state desync issues or location bugs should be fixed.
- We don't have a full list of individual issues this affects, since it's such a broad change, but ideally it fixes more than it breaks! 🤞
- This especially affects the logic on the "Send Invite" and "Request Invite" buttons.
- There shouldn't be any actual behavior change compared to how it was supposed to work before, just lots of fixes where it didn't work as intended.
- In lists of user locations, such as the Social tab or the Friends Wing (sorted by location), the instance you are currently in will now show at the top.
- Fixed an issue where the inventory would always default to opening the "Bundles & Packs" tab. It will now preserve your last open tab, as long as you don't have any unclaimed bundles.
- There is now a dedicated "Profile Decorations" tab in the VRChat Shop.
- Looks are now remembered per avatar. Returning to an avatar later will automatically wear it's last worn look.
- Additional UI has been added when selecting avatars to show you what look it's associated with. Buttons have been added to edit or remove that look. The look can be removed even if you aren't wearing that avatar.
- Looks can also be removed from the Looks tab when selecting the worn look.
- The Look section of the Action Menu is now configurable by the user, similar to the other inventory types.
- Added pre-purchase customization to the Accessories store page.
- You can now enter the editor and try out all of the item's settings before purchase.
- If you decide to purchase an Accessory while in this pre-purchase mode, it will automatically be attached to a Look for you.
- Very long Look names are now truncated when viewed in the Action Menu.
- eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
- (probably)
- eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
- Fixed issues with Store page Accessory customization functionality when wearing a look that would exceed the max Accessories.
- A new "Net Tools" Debug UI page has been added.
- This adds a number of utilities to aid in comprehending the source of problems which are afflicting a world.
- It will show network events, details about what halted an
UdonBehaviour, and anUdonBehaviournetwork inspector.
- We moved the avatar debug window into the newer standardized debug console.
- Fixed an issue that caused the Status and User Search buttons to appear dark in the Social menu.
- Added a "Warn User" button to the More Options modal in the Profile menu for instance moderators.
- Fixed an issue that caused the "Stop Representing" button in the Groups page to not update it's text and icon when clicked.
- Changes to the VRChat Shop UX.
- Updated styling and format of the product details page in the VRChat shop.
- The navigation bar has been redesigned.
- The "Group Stores" and "World Stores" sections have been combined under a new "Community" shop section.
- Fixed the "More from this Creator" section in the Avatar Marketplace showing avatars in an arbitrary order.
- Instead, you're more likely to see popular avatars now, like the rest of the Marketplace.
- The 'selected World Instance' is now pinned to the top of the list of instances when clicking on one from the list of instances on the World Details Page.
- Contact receiver improvements!
- Improved how contact receivers with no volume behave when generating proximity values.
- Improved detection of sphere-shaped contact senders with an extremely small radius.
- Improved contact detection and proximity calculation when using very thin box shaped contact receivers.
- Props attached to surfaces can no longer be placed close to spawn points, similar to user placed portals.
- Fixed a Camera Dolly bug that caused the orientation of the primary camera to not be updated while waiting for multi-stream cameras to finish animating along their paths.
- Added missing image in Color Blind Filters for Oculus PC.
- Fixed a bug that caused the delete button for locked icons to be greyed out.
